Austin Gerber, MD
Austin Gerber, MD, a native of Syracuse, Indiana, graduated with highest honors from the Indiana University School of Medicine, earning multiple scholarships for his academic excellence. He completed a surgical internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious University of Alabama Birmingham Eye Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Gerber then pursued a two-year fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at the University of Louisville, where he performed over 2,500 surgeries, specializing in eyelid and facial cosmetic surgery. Since joining Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery in 2019, he has been dedicated to caring for patients in northern Indiana. An active lecturer at national meetings, Dr. Gerber also teaches courses on oculofacial plastic surgery techniques. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing and outdoor activities with his wife and four children, and he is excited to provide expert surgical care to EYE-Q Aesthetics patients.
